How to use it
Choose how many dice and how many sides, then press Roll. Each die is shown with its value and the total appears below. Six-sided dice are drawn with pips; other dice show the number.
How the roll is made
Every die is an independent pick from 1 to the number of sides, each value equally likely, using a seed made from your browser’s cryptographic random numbers. Automated tests roll 100,000 six-sided and twenty-sided dice with fixed seeds and check that the faces come up evenly.
Questions
Can I roll dice with an unusual number of sides?
Yes. Type any number of sides from 2 to 1,000 instead of choosing from the usual ones.
